Applied Digital Learning Journey Synthesis
You will learn a little about me and this authentic year of learning and professional educational growth.
My innovation project is blended learning through station rotations. It began to involve me when I thought about how to develop a plan to improve their reading skills in the second-grade bilingual program during that beginning in blended learning. In the EDLD in 5305 course, I had the opportunity to develop Innovation Proposal, an action research plan, a professional development plan, an instructional design plan, an online publication, and an
As I began the ADL program in the fall of 2022, I was impressed with the efficiency of how information was delivered to me as a new learner, making me feel scared about whether I would get it or not. The Master of Applied Digitial Learning gave me the necessary tools to develop the skills to be a digital learning leader.
The Digital Learning and Leading program has provided me with ample opportunities to create and plan. I already felt comfortable with many digital tools, but this course helped me deepen my skills with Google Slides, YouTube, canvas, Book Creator, and Eportafolios.

The New culture of learning let me grow and develop cultural aspects." Reading the book taught me that imagination is more important than knowledge." We asked What-if questions about creating connections with the community and the possibilities of making connections and a positive culture to support learning.
The ADL program models its beliefs on creating significant learning environments (CSLE) through peer collaboration and giving choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning opportunities (COVA). We were given a lot of material and requirements but only a little direction (hand-holding). I realized that my whole life, I have learned differently than what society believed were best practices. I know best when failing forward.
As I created my ePortfolio for my master’s program, I wanted to quit (or hire someone to build it for me), but I didn’t because I saw the benefits of failing forward, probably my favorite course in the entire program! I loved exploring the introspective topic. growth mindset and the learning manifesto showed me how important it is to recognize them. I remember learning to grow mindset change my mentality from a fixed perspective to a Growth mindset. I believe giving learners choices on how they learn, what they know, where they learn, and when they learn empowers lifelong learners.
I developed a plan based on my research for my Literacy review. In 5303, we learned, designed, and built the portfolio for my project to be successful. After considering I will need to influence change in behavior on my campus, I created a plan to develop a significant learning environment. This idea inspired me to be a good leader and inspired the rest of my second-grade team to achieve and implement by leading organizational change.
Learners will apply leadership theories and practices to become self-differentiated leaders who can address the inevitable resistance to change when launching innovative digital learning initiatives through selected course management tools and diverse resources for teachers.
Instructional-designed online learning
I will put my innovation plan into action as far as accomplishing goals., I want to be part of the professional development plans this fall to help us improve how we provide professional learning to teachers. More importantly, I want to get my degree from Lamar University! Also, The ADL program showed me that I have more to give to education and reach more learners to get the desired implementation plan.

Part of being an effective teacher and innovator is knowing if what you are doing in the classroom is working. Are students engaged? Are students learning? What are students learning? Sometimes, we know immediately if a method is effective, but other times, it takes intensive study to determine its effectiveness trough. Action research
Throughout this program, I did feel excited, encouraged, frustrated, and tired. But they were all feelings that come with a higher learning opportunity.

I have created many things this past year through our work in ADL. I enjoyed building good relationships with my peers. We can be connected in a deep conversation about implementing blended learning. I love how naturally and easily we discussed our passion for blended learning.
Putting everything together makes for effective learning, leading, and teaching. I have analyzed, connected, and reflected. I have developed into a digital learner and digital leader. We read Mertler’s online book Action Research and planned methods of quantitatively and qualitatively measuring the instructional impact of implementing our innovation plan. After Identifying and promoting innovation, I created significant digital learning environments and led organizational change. The final action research plan ending the EDLD 5320 has been an incredible opportunity to revisit the learning and work we have completed on ours. I am grateful to have everything on my e-portfolio.
Where I am now:
I am culminating in my adventure beginning in fall 2022. During the Applied Digital Learning Master's degree, many learnings have helped me reinforce my learning philosophy. I have improved my knowledge a lot in this program. Learning new leadership and planning skills for my teaching experience. I encourage digital tools and share strategies with my team members.
