Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community

This reflection makes me go to where this dream began. I think about years ago. When  I just came to this country. I had no professional goals, and the most significant barrier was the language. I only knew a little English. I am working in my first year as a teacher and studying to reinforce this EDL Degree program.

There have been challenges, and I heard negative thoughts saying you will not get it. When I came to the United States, I faced the challenge of learning a new language. Without a doubt, it represented a wall of fear in me. However, I have been learning that Our brains change according to our actions and beliefs.

We need to understand our mindset because this is the key to taking challenges and being open to saying the power of can and will do it, it will not be easy, but I am getting the knowledge.  There are many things that we learned in this course. First, we were equipped with tools to be self-differentiated leaders who can address the inevitable resistance to change when launching innovative digital learning initiatives. The "whirlwind" of urgent activity required to keep things running day-to-day devoured all the time and energy we needed to invest in executing our strategy for tomorrow! The 4 Disciplines of Execution can change all that forever.

It is also essential to know that the 4 Disciplines of Execution are precise rules for translating strategy into action at all levels of an organization. Focusing on what is wildly essential help to prevent us from spreading ourselves too thin. Hence, we must learn how to focus before moving forward and identifying our primary goals.

During this program, I collaborated with other colleagues, and we discussed the course's topics and shared ideas, making this online learning experience more enjoyable and engaging. Also, we shared resources and relevant information to support and improve our mindset.

In addition, we participated in the discussion course to communicate and share experiences. During this course, I joined a collaboration group with Adonay Briceno daily. We collaborated on Zoom. A true collaboration was being open to all team members' suggestions, critiques, and ideas. Also, we shared information through email, zoom meetings and commented on each other’s posts in the discussion group. Also, we created a wasap group including rosmery vera and Lourdes zarraga. This was a great experience sharing innovation experiences, developing our blended learning plan, supporting collaborative work with as many possible resources, and participating in the discussion forum.

At this point, I will determine the numerical self-assessment score, and this is my first masters in education. However, I am trying to do my best, and I will keep improving in areas where it is needed. I have in Applying Educational Tech EDLD 5317  94 out of 100.
